Sat. Feb. 20 - there will be a National Men's conference in Charlotte, N.C. called "Iron Sharpens Iron". Proverbs 27:17 says As Iron Sharpens Iron so one man sharpens another. Feb. 26, 27, 28 - the SC Conference UMM presents a Spiritual Retreat Weekend “The Strength of Christ” at the Radisson Hotel in Columbia, SC. Wives are welcome to attend this retreat with their husbands. Pastor Darren and LeeAnn with be attending Friday and Saturday. With an unanimous vote of both our Finance Committee and our Church Council as of Thursday Covenant United Methodist Church has paid off our mortgage. With the overwhelming support of Covenant’s members, in the last 2 ½ years even in an economic downturn, Covenant has paid off over $457,000 in debt. Praise the Lord! |
