Covenant’s Discipleship Pathway Ministry (DP Groups) offers options for every step of your faith journey. In a DP Group you will study and grapple with the truth of God with other believers who are on similar faith paths. There are DP Groups for you if you are beginning your journey, wanting to go deeper in your journey and groups offering assistance to benefit you along the way. This brochure is designed for you to easily find a group that is right for you.

Membership
Wednesdays: Connect to Covenant
Led by Linda Guthrie

This four-week class is designed for persons new to Covenant, those thinking about church membership and those who want to better understand what Methodists believe. Participants will learn what we believe, what church membership means, and how to get connected into the life and ministry of Covenant.
Bible Studies
Sundays: Disciple I Fast Track
Led by Chuck Thomas
Room 616, 6:00-7:30, 9/10-12/3; 1/7-4/15
Disciple Fast Track, part of the Disciple family of Bible studies, provides a great option for busy people who seek to gain a better understanding of the Bible and desire growth as disciples. This class will meet for a total of 24 weeks, devoting 12 weeks each to the Old Testament and the New Testament.
 
Sundays: Disciple II Fast Track

Tuesdays: Your Move by Andy Stanley
Led by Jim Sharpe,

In Your Move, Andy Stanley looks at four questions that will help participants make sound decisions with God’s help. Stanley teaches that every decision and its outcome becomes a permanent part of your story, what to do when you feel the need to pause before acting, and how to make sound decisions to positively influence your time here on Earth.
 
Thursdays: Questions, Part II
Led by Tony Sherrill

Have you ever had a question about a subject in the Bible that you found hard to understand? Have you ever wondered about the “days” of creation? Where was Jesus between the time of His burial and resurrection? How, why, and when did Satan fall from heaven? These questions and many more will be discussed during a six-week class meant to grow our faith and love for God.

Nehemiah’s heart was so broken for those in need that he left the comfort of his Persian palace to help them. This study challenges women to let God break their hearts for a hurting, lost world and move them in compassion to lead people to Jesus. Nehemiah is a seven-week study that includes seven video sessions and real-life ways to put feet to your faith.
Wednesdays: Finding I Am by Lysa TerKeurst

What is the deep cry of your heart? The ache in your soul that keeps you up at night? The prayer you keep repeating? Jesus not only cares about this deep, spiritual wrestling, but He also wants to step in and see you through it. Come and join this Women’s Bible study as we join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John.
 
Wednesdays: Steadfast Love

There are times when worship overflows effortlessly from a heart full of gratitude and praise. And there are times when God seems far and we feel we have nothing to offer. Throughout it all, God shows us His steadfast love. In this seven-session Bible study, learn to face both storms and deserts with courage and trust in Jesus, and discover how tests in our journeys of faith reveal the true condition of our hearts.

Sundays: Monumental: Restoring America as the Land of Liberty
Led by Will Wise

America has undergone a radical shift in recent times, from an exceptional nation – the most free, prosperous, and virtuous in history – to a nation in decline. The good news is that we can do something to solve these problems and restore America. This course provides the blueprint for restoring America as the land of liberty by discussing some of the founding fathers, their original documents, and scripture as we follow this course.
Sundays: Divorce Care
Led by Cheryl Ruhe and Ty Tysinger

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have questions about issues you’ve never faced before. Come and connect with others who are going through a similar situation and learn biblical principles you can apply to help with the pain and stress you are going through.
 
Wednesdays: Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace
Led by Ann Marie Pasek, and Todd Satterfield

We all need a plan for our money. Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical and practical plan to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be.
 
Mondays: Fit for Christ: Yoga
Led by Angela Murphy
Room 618, 6:30-7:30, 9/18-10/16
A one-hour yoga class designed to develop strength, balance, and flexibility. Participants provide their own mat and block.
 
Tuesdays: Fit for Christ: Active Older Adults
Led by LeeAnn Hook and Gina Austin
Gym, 10:00-10:45, 9/12/17-11/14/17
A 40-minute low impact workout for the active older adult/rehabber. Participants work in and beside a chair as they build range of movement, strength, and balance for activities for daily living. Participants provide their own weights.
