Our Future is in their precious hands . . .
Hello Family of Faith,
My name is Judy Heard and it is my honor and privilege to be serving the children of Covenant as the director of children’s ministries.
Spirituality of Children I believe God created each of us with an innate need to praise and commune with our Maker. Children naturally crave affirmation of God’s love for them. They need us to help guide them in accepting Jesus as the way to a full and happy life here on earth and life eternal.
In order to obtain our mission of Reaching, Teaching, and Engaging the youngest members of our fold, there are four key areas that are essential to meeting our goals:
- Fellowship – We Reach children by offering events that draw them into our fold and show them how much we value their presence
- Teaching Prayer
- Practicing Prayer
- Learning God’s Word – The Holy Bible is the ultimate storybook. It gives us all we need to know.
God’s Word and Jesus’ sacrifice requires the “Engaged” part of the plan. Children become servants of God by their participation in the above. My prayer is that many more of you will join the leadership of Children’s Ministries and become an active participant in shaping our future.
Keeping Jesus Close,
Judy Heard (

During the 9:45 and 11:00 worship services we offer four nurseries:
-
An infant class - infants through walking well
-
A walker class - walkers through 2 yrs old*
-
A 2 year class - children who were 2 years old before Sept. 1st
-
A 3 year class - children who were 3 years old before Sept. 1st
A Sunday School lesson is taught during each of these services.
Additionally, there are nurseries available many evenings during the week. All nursery staff and volunteers have had background screenings preformed by the United Methodist Conference and are cleared to work with infants, children and youth. The nurseries are located on the second floor of the Education and Family Life Center, directly behind the main church building.
Melanie Davis is our nursery director. Please contact her with questions about evening nursery times or to arrange a nursery for a specific event. 864-906-3026
