Sunday Evenings:
Caring for Older Adults
Pat Sullivan, 8 sessions Sundays beginning September 12, 4:30-5:45 PM Many of us are finding ourselves in the position of caring for our parents or other older adults without really knowing what to do or how to do it, and being frustrated with everything going on. These sessions will attempt to address many of these needs. We welcome professionals – a doctor, a lawyer, a social worker, therapists, hospice, grief counselor and others – to work our way through caring for those we love. We will discuss health issues, legal issues, money issues, where to live, how to live, etc. Please sign up for this course if you are caring for a loved one or if you think you will be in the near future. It will be invaluable.
Disciple 4: Under the Tree of Life
Baron DeKalb, 32 sessions Sundays beginning September 12, 6:00-8:00 PM The phrase “under the tree of life” conveys the promise of finding shelter, security, and rest in God’s love. In this study of the Old Testament Writings; the Gospel of John; and the Epistles of John, James, Jude, and Revelation, participants will see the entire process of living toward final rest and reward. A focus on the Psalms leads naturally to an emphasis on worship. Participants must have completed DISCIPLE 1 before taking this study.
Invitation to John
Linda Guthrie, 11 sessions Sundays beginning September 12, 5:30-7:00 PM This short term DISCIPLE Bible Study will meet for 90 minutes for 11 weeks, taking an in-depth look at John’s Gospel. Daily Bible readings are an integral part of this study. Participants are invited to come and meet Jesus and consider anew what it means to be his followers.
Growing Kids God’s Way
Judy Heard, 9 sessions Sundays beginning September 12, 6:00-7:15 PM This biblical-based study is great for parents with kids ages birth to 12 years. We will learn how to instill our children with “moral sensibilities,” not create “moral robots.” Our children were born with the innate sense that God is their Maker. As parents, we must lead them towards His purpose for their lives. This is an 18 week program (9 in the Fall, 9 in the Spring). By Spring Break, our kids should be perfect - or at least ready to take in a restaurant. ___________________________________________________

Through this study you’ll come to appreciate the supernatural aspects of the fruit and that you cannot grow, learn, or produce the frit on your own.
