Covenant’s Discipleship Pathway Ministry (DP Groups) offers options for every step of your faith journey. In a DP Group you will study and grapple with the truth of God with other believers who are on similar faith paths. There are DP Groups for you if you are beginning your journey, wanting to go deeper in your journey and groups offering assistance to benefit you along the way. This brochure is designed for you to easily find a group that is right for you.

Connect to Covenant

This three-week class is designed for persons new to Covenant, those thinking about church membership and those who want to better understand what Methodists believe. Participants will learn what we believe, what church membership means, and how to get connected into the life and ministry of Covenant.
 
Bible Study
Sundays: Introduction to the New Testament

Are you new to reading the Bible? Don’t know where to start? One of the best places to start reading the Bible is
in the New Testament. Join this class and have others journey with you through scripture as you learn more about the time when Jesus walked the earth.
 
Sundays: Blessed: The Beatitudes and Today Led by Bob and Laura Martin Starts: 2/10, 6:00-8:00 PM Have we really let the counter-cultural nature of the Beatitudes impact our hearts and minds? We should be astonished by them. Take a fresh look at the Beatitudes in this 4 week class.
Wednesdays: The Gospel of the Least: A Study in the Gospel of Luke Led by Pastor Matt Yon Starts: 1/16, 6:30-8:00 PM Have you ever wondered about the social context in which Luke experienced the Good News? Have you ever wanted to experience Jesus in a real and personal way? The Gospel of Luke is a wonderful book of the Bible to view Jesus from the perspective of the least in society.
 
Wednesdays: Eat this Book Led by Pastor Gryff Carosiello Starts: 2/13, 6:30-7:45 PM Eugene Peterson, author of Eat this Book, challenges us to read the Scriptures on their own terms, as God’s revelation, and to live them as we read them. He draws readers into a fascinating conversation on the nature of language, the ancient practice of lectio divina, and the role of Scripture translations.

Come and join this women’s study as we join Lysa TerKeurst on the streets of Israel to explore the seven I AM statements of Jesus found in the Gospel of John.
 
Wednesdays: He Speaks to Me Led by Evelyn Robertson, Kisa Braselton, and Heather Hasto Starts: 1/9, 9:30-11:45 AM This is seven- week, six-session study time of learning and growing together spiritually. Our Lord desires to speak to us personally. He wants to meet us where we are despite who we are and reveal His will for our lives. Come join us as we learn how to position ourselves to hear His voice and discern His will for us.
 
Wednesdays: Steadfast Love Led by Laura Slagh Starts: 2/27, 9:30-11:30 AM There are times when worship overflows effortlessly from a heart full of gratitude and praise. There are other times when God seems far, and we feel we have nothing to offer. Throughout it all, God shows us His steadfast love. In this 7-session Bible study, learn to face both storms and deserts with courage and trust in Jesus, and discover how tests in our journeys of faith reveal the true condition of our hearts.
 
Wednesday: Taste and See Led by Evelyn Roberston, Kisa Braselton, and Heather Hasto Starts: 2/27, 9:30-11:45 AM This is seven- week, six-session study on how often God focuses on food in the Bible and how, biblically speaking, food is meant to do more than satisfy your stomach. It’s meant to heal your soul and draw you closer to Christ, our true Bread of Life. Come join us as we taste and see God’s goodness together and how He can transform our every meal.
 
Fit for Christ
Active Older Adults
Led by Gina Austin
and LeeAnn Hook

A 40-minute low impact workout for the active older adult/rehabber. Participants work in and beside a chair as they build range of movement, strength, and balance for activities for daily living. Participants provide their own weights.
